The Elite Asteroid series is designed for bowlers that are developing a hook. Compared to Plastic, Reactive coverstock technology increases traction and hooking action in the oil, and Reactive coverstocks can be sanded or shined to create large differences in hook potential. Reactive coverstocks also respond more aggressively to dry lane surfaces than Urethane coverstocks, increasing backend hooking action and hitting power.

If you need something for the driest lanes, get the Elite Asteroid. I have one and it skids far enough down lane when all my other stuff hooks way too soon. It's also easy to control on the end. No lanes too dry for this ball.

I needed something that would handle even the driest conditions. The Asteroid does the job. It gets down lane easily and reacts smoothly on the back end. It's very mild which is just what I wanted.
